"Special Needs" Planning

"Special Needs" planning is all about taking care of your loved one with disabilities, whether it is taking care of their physical well-being or their financial assets or responsibilities.  My wife and I know about this firsthand because we have a "Special Needs" son!

With all of the rules, laws, and programs that are out there for us to try and find, sort through, investigate, narrow down, and hopefully decide on, the entire process of "Special Needs" planning can be, to say the least, somewhat overwhelming.

As concerned parents or relatives of special needs children or adults, you want to "do the right thing" to protect your disabled loved one every day of their life.

You can plan for them now and for them in the future!  It's that simple and you don't have to worry about the outcome if it's done correctly from the beginning. Many issues need to be addressed with "special needs" planning.

We will show you how to legally:

*Position assets so as NOT to disqualify eligibility to receive government entitlements of SSI and Medicaid .

*Set up a Special Needs Trust to protect entitlements and not put them at the mercy of the Court.

*Set up Durable Powers of Attorney for handling their Financial affairs and Medical needs.

*Get Guardianship so you decide where they live and who they live with all of their life.

*Attain proper Legal Planning with lawyers who specialize in the unique areas of the law that deal with the "Special Needs."*Educating yourself is the KEY to successful "Special Needs" planning.

YOU are your child's best advocate and not the court system.  You don't want the government to decide what's best for your loved one!  Be a Proactive planner because the government has a plan for your loved one even if you don't.

Contact us to discuss your child or loved one's specific needs and see what you can do to put a plan in place.  We will also review any existing plan that you have to see if it has been set up correctly.  Don't let your loved one be a 'victim' of what you failed to take the time to find out about.
